Photographers Pat Johnson & Anastasia Pantsios
Acclaimed music photographer Pat Johnson will visit Mac’s on Saturday, April 22nd from 2-3 p.m with his book Blue Collar Photographer, a collection of iconic images representing a few generations of rock, hip-hop, blues and metal musicians. He will be in conversation with photojournalist Anastasia Pantsios, author Girls to the Front: 40 Years of Women in Rock.
Pat’s award winning work has been on innumerable magazine covers and his images have graced such publications as Rolling Stone, Time magazine, Vogue, the San Francisco Chronicle, the New York Times and People magazine along with editorial pieces, advertising and fashion layouts and over 300 LP and CD covers. Pat has received the Lifetime Achievement award from the prestigious Los Angeles Music Awards and the San Francisco Bay Area Music Awards (Bammies).
Originally from Cleveland, Pat lives in San Mateo, CA.
Anastasia Pantsios is a writer, researcher, and photographer, with experience in both print and digital journalism. She has also have covered hard news with a focus on election and women’s issues, music, the arts, and culture. Anastasia has organized and promoted events including concerts, art shows, meetings, and forums.
