Old School Country music was a staple of AM radio when Pat was growing up in Cleveland, Ohio. Being able to work with icons like Loretta Lynn, Buck Owens, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings was quite an honor. Photographing more modern country artists like Kris Kristofferson, Travis Tritt and Keith Urban has kept Pat Johnson photography in the forefront of the field. “I was deeply influenced by the early British LP covers of the likes of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, the Kinks and the Yardbirds, they painted themselves in my psyche. I adored David Bailey and Richard Avedon. Those were my heroes.”
